Eve Lunn

My language-learning journey began on my first family holiday to Málaga, sparking a fascination with languages that has spanned over a decade. After achieving top-grades in my Leaving Cert, including four Higher-Level languages, I spent four semesters in the U.S. studying Comparative Literature in English, French, and Spanish, and Theatre Arts, at Brown University, before returning to Ireland to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Language and Translation Studies (Professional) at Dublin City University, where I am on-track to graduate with a First Class Honours (1:1) Degree.

Additionally, I have pioneered my own education in digital marketing by completing a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing with the Digital Marketing Institute, as well as multiple online certification courses, including:

  • Google Analytics Individual Certification (Skillshop)
  • Google Ads Display, Search, and Video (Skillshop)
  • Digital Marketing (HubSpot Academy)
  • SEO I & II (HubSpot Academy)
  • International Computer Driving License (ICDL)

I also continuously undertake CPD modules and read widely across a variety of subjects and genres in order to expand my knowledge and improve my writing.

I’ve been creating marketing content for both Irish and international businesses for almost seven years, in both freelance and in-house roles, as well as some voluntary work. I’ve done a bit of everything, from blogging and social media management, to more senior strategy and coordination roles. In every one of these roles, I’ve managed to make an impact using my ability to deliver creative, data-driven solutions that put my clients and/or their business on the map. Check out some of the companies I’ve worked with below.

My professional translation career is just beginning, but with the amount of practice I’ve had over the past two years translating source texts across such a wide variety of genres and mediums, I believe have enough experience to begin professional work!

I’ve also dabbled in sales, tutoring, and drama teaching.
